HI Jenna

i'm currently workng on a large list of internet stocks...big/med/small....

when i get it together, would run your scans to separate the junk from the goodies???

i'm having the P&F people do their thing, and would like to know which are optionable too...

you found MALL, which was incredible..P&F found EGGS, and that was marvelous, because it trades options...

we can take positions in a nice option portfolio without expending large amounts of cash, and spred out the risk...

what a wonderful exciting and profitable sector to play..albeit carefully...

they're even buying "REAL" co's like BKS!!!!!!!!

i like this USAI...never even knew it existed before all this hype...

Why dump BVSN? I agree the action was
strange towards the end but I think that the same think happend with MALL when it seemed to show weakness.

Those of us who have been watching the net stocks go wild have been trying to determine what net stocks to buy and sell, short and cover. Not many are shorting just buying and selling.Eventually these net stocks will come down. Not many of the net stocks have shares to short which adds to the mania. With the wild swings there is great potential in day trading. We need a site to share our ideas on day trading these stocks. This is one.Let me hear from you that are day trading the net stocks. Thanks.

A few, strictly anecdotal data points on COMS/3Com.

1) I called our supplier of PC computer equipment 11-24-98 and requested a 3Com 10/100 network card. They couldn't get any and
were back ordered for weeks with no idea of when they could get any.

2) I've been trying to get DSL installed into our office supporting
384Kbaud to replace our 56K connections and found out that each
DSL requires not only a modem but a network card - in other words
DSL goes in one side and 10/100 ethernet comes out the other. To
use the new DSL technology each computer will need a network card!!!!!

3) 3Com has licensed the ADSL technology from AWRE Aware Technologies. There are I believe 2 approaches to cheap high speed internet connections: cable or DSL.

4) In talking to an electronic design engineer today (works at a Fortune 500 company), he believes DSL is and will win because the phone copper infrastructure is in place and the technology works up to 30 mega bits (I believe) or plenty fast for internet video telephony, incredible download speeds. You'll be able to talk long distance free anywhere in the world while you see a video image of sis or gra-ma right on your computer!

5) My cost $40 per month from phone company and $28 from ISP.

6) DSL works with voice so new subscribers don't have to add a second
line; ie the voice is available at the same time and on the same line
as the data up/down to the internet. Since a household, if it wanted to be able to talk and used the internet, would pay $35 for a second phone line at 56K or $40 for DSL on top of the existing line and get data rates of up to 1,500k it make sense to go to DSL.

My conclusion is that someone will be selling bu-coo DSL modems and
network cards very soon as households and small business upgrade from
56K to 256K/384K/796K/1,500K or higher.

3Com may be in a very good investment. Any opinions or insight?????
