"If that trade took place on NASDAQ today it would be on record as the high of the day, period." FWIW, there are no NASDAQ trades before hours. Only 3rd market trades -- and they are not all reported on 'high/low' for the day. I have been fortunate to take part in some of these myself. If you are skeptical of my claim I suggest you ask your broker to read to you all the trades in EGGS from 8:15 to 8:30 this morning EST. I believe you will find 500 shares traded at 39 7/8. Period.
