The Dean Witter bid was at 9:04 -- at 41. It was noted by Craig Rogers in the following post (note the time): Message 6581525

FWIW, I am not trying to be an a--hole. But , just to clarify. Pre market bids are directly related to pre market NASDAQ market-maker posts. In fact, much of the 3rd market trading (on electronic systems or other exchanges such as MWSE, Pacific, etc...) is done by market makers (for a variety of reasons). Over 100,000 shares traded pre market in EGGS today. Interestingly, MSDW owns close to 10% of EGGS -- so they obviously have an interest in seeing the price go up. That might explain such a high pre-market bid. But who knows? I assume from the tenure of your posts that you sold your position today -- if you were long. That's o.k. Just hope you didn't go short. Although one may make a lot of money shorting EGGS. And just to be clear, I am neither long nor short.
