Highly unusual to see posts on SI that are positive about Gateway as am I. Although they have been weak in the corporate sector I feel they will eventually own or dominate the consumer sector. There customer support is great, as I can testify to as well as various family members, and from what we experienced the problems were not Gateways fault but they devoted hours to helping you. I think this is very important in the consumer market since you don't have the support you in the corporate environment.
Although this is my first Gateway and I have considered others I can never forget when the "clean up" program I bought brought my computer to a halt. Gateway tech spent 3.5 hrs on the phone with me correcting the problem. Very comforting. jon

Dont underestimate GTW. They have a following that is very loyal and will enable GTW to continue to be successful. They do know service.
Your story is one of many that back that up. I always recommend a Gateway especially to users that must rely on support. Dell is good too, but have been very successful with the business user.
Gateway is a company that takes leading technology and makes it standard in their products before anyone else. I think that translates value for the buck to the user. Its a great combination.
Good trading.
