You could be right. It may only hit $175 by end of next year.
But - My gut feeling is that it will trade @ 150 in late January; 160 in April; 180 in July; and 200 at end of next year.
Maybe it is hard to imagine but it has almost doubled since early January and how many analysts believed it would. Remember that Windows 2000 (NT 5.) will be a big money maker.

Also- consider new database release earlier this month or Oct; Office 2000 next spring; PC growth; companies waiting for Windows 2000 (I suspect).

Most important reason is the internet stocks and their incredible valuations. This may on its own justify a higher P/e for MSFT. After all, they are also focussed on the net.
