DavidCG,

I took your advice and went to outpost to see what they wanted for the software I purchased at egghead last night.

COOL price: $28.99
EGGS price: $21.21

It's not a high ticket item, but it is $7.78. I also noticed that the site was slow...although that could be because of heavy traffic.

I am an EGGS shareholder (a *VERY* small position), but am interested in any web site that will save me money and time.

I'll keep COOL in mind for future purchases, but EGGS is the cheapest I've found.

BTW, the software was Quicken's Family Lawyer 99.

Jody

David,
I'm looking to buy a digital camera also!
I'm leaning toward the recently released Sony high resolution model.
I have not price shopped yet, what are your thoughts?

>Over $100 cheaper at COOL..plus a picture of the item, plus a detailed description

Big deal, if you want photography stuff, I would go to to www.bandhphoto.com. They have the MD81 at 719.95 (10 bucks cheaper than Cyberian). And they are camera professionals.

They will also sell you gray models of most stuff which can save a lot more.

Egghead is usually cheaper on software than most places. Category killers will dominate on the web just like they killed general stores in the non-virtual world.
