RE:once ZD Intelligence/PC DATA announce that the Celerons are taking market share from AMD in the sub $1000 PC arena.

Would you expect the INTC paid reporters At ZD to report anything else. I haven't exactly seen them falling all over each other to report that AMD now has a free fix posted for the MSFT timing loop bug or whatever you call it.

Paul Re: <My guess is that Intel is a SLAM DUNK for stock appreciation over the next month.>

I sure wouldn't bet that INTC stock is going down over the course of the next month or year, & would bet that it is going to become more valuable in the next 10 years. I did bet that AMD will perform better than INTC over - at least - the short term. The efficient market theory holds that at any given time all the data is in the market and that making such a bet is stupid. I disagree with that theory, which is the ONLY reason I have money in the market.

WRT <What is the dollar amount of these royalty payments?> Where in AMD would those expenditures show up? - $2M should be an item that could be found.
