Nice article on Sun Microsystems in WSJ this week. This is one of the better companies rushing to reach and pass Microsoft. With a little good fortune in the next few months, I expect to buy a long term position in it. The article briefly mentioned that SUNW is moving to participate in the fast-growing middleware market. That indicates to me that they will be looking around to expand their current collaborations. I know a good company with in couple of important niches in middleware that they may want to take a look at. IMO, a collaboration with SUNW could carry prestige similar to one with IBM. Maybe even better.
