Is there any basis for the rumors about a possible increase in margin requirements for internut stocks ?

I have heard this rumor numerous times but the question I have about it is, how precisely do you define an "Internet stock", anyway?

Margin requirements will apply to all stocks across the board. Might help to slow done this 'irrational exhuberance'. Wonder what AG would really call it today? Insane?

Roger Babb has posted that he thought the requirements would be increased. The way things are going, probably a good idea.
