That's right Paul. Think about it. Concentrate and try to answer this question:

Is Intel deriving any additional incremental revenue attributable solely to MMX, per processor, from that agreement?

Another way to think about it if it still doesn't make sense: If AMD were making their procesors without MMX, would they pay any less in royalties to Intel, per processor, than they do now?

I think you'll agree with me that the answer to both questions is no.
