It seems to me that we are in the midst of a mania. A similar mania happened in Canada with junior mining stocks. Any semblance of good drilling results resulted in any stock skyrocketing. This period was characterized by alot of companies going to market to participate in the feeding frenzy. All these companies shared a number of critical things in common - 1) not profitable 2) declining cash reserves 3) blue sky (i.e. unlimited potential). Sound familiar ?

The frenzy lasted about 1-2 years. But a now infamous event brought everyone back to Earth - Bre-X. 6 months after Bre-X, junior mining stocks traded at 10% of their market peaks.

It seems to me that the time to short these monsters is when that first big negative event breaks. It could be a big player being delisted from Nasdaq a la K-Tel or a SEC accounting irregularities investigation. When that event happens - short all you want. Shorting in the midst of sharks feeding (i.e. now) can cost you fingers - as most of us shorts have learned.

Quetsion is when will this negative event happen. Well we are only about 1 year into the internut frenzy. It could be another 6 months, 1 year or 5 years - who knows. But the emergence of threads touting the next internet monster is a hint that the end will soon be here.

But for the end to truly be near we need a big negative event - don't see one on the horizon. Hope it arrives soon.

BAMM cheaper than AMZN. IMO, who would be stupid enough to buy at AMZN
during the holidays. Even Barnes and Noble is cheaper than AMZN.
amazon.com.
booksamillion.com

BAMM is going to go again big times next week, and imo BAMM has a long way
to go. If AMZN can go to 230 from 120 in two weeks, BAMM can go to 300$ from
38$ in two weeks. Why? because BAMM is making PROFITS but AMZN is NOT.
