I suspect that IBM's holding in ODIS is so small (for them) that they don't think much about it. Certainly whenever I have spoken with IBM people at trade shows, they give no indication that their project planning would be affected at all by the fact that IBM owns 12% of ODIS.

I guess it must be my age or something. I did not remember that IBM had a 12% interest in ODIS.

Nonetheless, in companies as large as IBM, it is not uncomon for the right hand to not know what the left hand is doing. Not good but it sure as heck does happen even to the best of companies.

Your comments are valid however, it does not look like IBM used ODIS SW for their music business and Damien has addressed a possible reason s to why.
