Random thoughts. With the run in the last few weeks I wonder
if there is more of the story to follow. Seems to simple to
attribute this rise on the healthy market and the fund managers
discovering the story all at once.
One of the posters has got me to thinking about what next for RMBS
as he put it "can lightning strike twice" I have no concrete answers
for that question, but I will speculate. From the Rambus web site
I read that they have over 140 employees 80% computer scientists
or electrical engineers with extensive industry related work experience. The founders have ability and the access to the finest
minds entering the work force and with the expected revenues and
stock appreciation in the coming years there is no reason to believe
they can't recruit the best.
Now I am positive the first task at hand is to develop and insure
the smoothest transition possible. But what we may be seeing is the
birth of a developmental research co. working on a large scale of
computer innovations. Is it reasonable to expect bright active minds
to develop new ideas? Is it reasonable to expect this management to
support commercially acceptable applications? Is it reasonable to
believe some of this work is not already underway? Is it reasonable
to believe work has progressed on some front to the point that we
may get some announcement near term?
Sorry to bore you guys with my babblings. I have been reading the
book Virtual Corporation by Davidow and it has me wondering.
