<< Just wondering your basis. >> Nothing new. My big idea, if fancy, is that the next leg down should be very vertical and it WILL have to come totally unexpected. Backing that unorthodox conviction are several factors. Santa Claus rally, new year rally yada yada are expected at a time when the bullishness is over 60%, VIX close to all time low, internets flying, Brinker in his bear-bashing mood again, most bears throwing towel (including your buying in to eBay and whipsaw in to other internuts) and most importantly, IMF chief declaring that "world economic slump is over!"
