It is only a matter of time before MSFT gets into the high end --give it a few years. This fear alone could adversely affect their stock in the next year.

I don't disagree. However, I believe that ORCL is working very hard to counter MSFT's low cost alternative. ORCL is also working to co-exist with ORCL and have ORCL apps run on SQL SRVR. Don't count ORCL down just because their RDBMS business is threatened. Remember, they killed SYBASE and INFORMIX with very shrewd product design and marketing.
