Rick, I'd like direct entry systems to have the additional choice of a discount MM, just for an alternative to the guaranteed execution of SOES market orders, which are a license to steal as well. Datek does something similar to this (but has a lot of other problems). There's little question e Trade is moving in this direction. Suspect we will be reading about a major partnership between them and at least one ECN shortly. You put the "best" of discount brokers and day trading brokers together (along with competitive pricing) and you have a system that REALLY serves short-term traders. Alan
