penni priestess, how wonderful to get a post from you...

There was a generalization my father used to use. I attribute it to him. "All generalizations are false - including this one."

Let my lay that over the post to which you responded. Of course there are survivors of the decay. But the decay is factual.

You mention deceit. I went to a college using the Honor System. It worked. Now, we have 80% of the top highschool cut condoning and participating in cheating. Isn' that a basic moral change?

I don't seek an exchange on this topic. It is not an inviting position to take that rot is setting in - and that would have to be the position I supported. Also, I am so convinced of it, from coming into contact with kids in schools, where I sub-teach, that my only goal would be to convince you, to "win." And that is quite horrible, setting oneself out to rip off and stomp on someone else's rose-colored glasses.

On music, do you mean bad like in bad, or bad like in rad? Except for my spelling, I believe such as Beatles, Stones, LedZepplin, Cream, Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Baez, and others were sublime!

I used to believe that good old Dixieland had improvisations and blues and heart that came as close as could be to full human expression, then, probably not until 1965 or 1966 did I see that the electric guitar was directly wired to the cosmos. So, I changed my view, I graduated.

One of the schools I attended was in New Hampshire. A magnificent locale! Annual trip. What a treat!
