Excellent assessment. Also, its good to note that the "Leader" in the name of this thread is now coming true. Until now, Geoworks was really the only player. Looking around:

* Starfish, another potential was acquired by Motorola, who will only use their true-sync technology and little else.

* Symbian has made a late entry. (perhaps the biggest threat to Geoworks)

*Access from Japan is more focused on set-top-boxes, and is getting caught up in Java dilemas.

* Unwired Planet is getting slamed for trying to charge royalties for using WAP.

* And the latest entry, Pixo (formerly Tacit Software) is too new and has questionable management.

All these players have helped to validate this industry, and Geowroks, without any question is the leader of this (finally) emerging market.
