I realize what you are saying, however, did you know that the number 1 web sites visited include Disney, ESPN and abc? These web sites will become major constituents of the new portal site. Yes, they will still be offered by ISP's including AOL, but the marketing push will trend towards directing viewers to the new portal first. A major marketing venture is projected to be hitting the TV beginning in Dec 98. I agree overall that major revenue will be generated in the future, but it will be major!
I wouldn't mind if DELL got into the picture with them somehow either. Then the majority of my portfolio would be linked. I don't think that this is just blowing smoke. I do see DELL becoming a player in the internet market soon as a need to diversify into the rapidly expanding venue before the other players swoop it up, ie. MSFT, AOL etc.
