JEB,

With Generic and other similar brokers (like AB Watley's Ultimate Trader or MB Trading), aren't you limited to 1000 shares every five minutes? For trading through the SOES system, I believe you can only put in 1 order every five minutes. Although, I know that you can trade off of an ECN like Island for greater amounts. But then, you have to wait until an Island bid or offer comes in. So, its seems that if you want to trade larger than 1000 shares at time, the SOES system may not be optimal. Am I correct?

Start an account with 25K (Maximum). They give you 10-12/1 margin which if a trade goes south you do not owe the margin back to Generic but they reserve the right to pull the plug on a bad trade if it even gets close to their margin.

.04 / share and 20.00 round trip (buy/sell or short/cover) cost (Use to be 40.00, they just lowered it).

Sounds expensive doesn't it?

Not really when I can watch my trades get filled instantly. When I can split the Bid and Ask. When I know what the stock is trading at before the market opens and either buy or sell accordingly, before the market opens or after it closes.

Good trading,
JEB
