So you are saying in a short term time frame there will be an upward spike in the share price?

Thank you for the numbers. Here is what my source shows on the subject. (Your list does account for 6110220 shares)

115 Institutions own 78.80% = 11,500.000
3 month net purchases was 1,970,000
Insiders hold 8% = 1,167,900
FMR Corp holds 10% = 1,459,800 (Who is this?)

That totals about 14,127,700.

I guess that means folks like us own the other 500,000 or so. We own a whooping 3%.

SMTC crossed the 52w ma about 10/26/98 (21).

On Balance Volume has reached a six month high while equity price remains below its prior high. This evidence of demand indicates a bullish continuation in price movement to the upside.

The Price Phase Indicator is moving to the upside. This is a bullish continuation signal showing that an uptrend is in place and that prices are more likely to continue to the upside than they are to drop.

Analysis of the rate of change of the exponentially smoothed average price suggests the completion of an uptrend. The rate of change is topping out and starting to decline. In this market this is a bearish indication that a reversal may occur soon.

The above 2 to 1 opinion (bullish) from AIQ sw.

The institutions apparently feel good about the company future.
