The only reason I interjected here is because I saw info that was incorrect. What troubles me more still, is the tendency by a few on the various boards to make statements like "vendor X's equipment is no good" or "service provider Y and Z don't test as hard" or "vendor X competes on price only". To the extent that such comments come from one who has some understanding of the technology and whose opinions are generally respected, those characterizations can be construed as "the truth" or "a fact". Daniel, Anybody who trades soley on the advice of other posters on this board without doing their own due diligence is already in trouble. I don't think it's your duty to protect them from unhealthy influences like me. In any case, I think most people are capable of telling what info is being presented as opinion vs. fact. When one reasonably knows those types of comments to be facts, I have no problem with them "airing" them as such. (Indeed, I would encourage them to do so.) Even if info is being presented as fact, that is no guarantee as to its accuracy. I see lots of factual posts with inaccurate info. However, IMO an opinion based on supposition is unwise, especially when coming from someone whose opinions are valued by most. Unlike you, I am very interested in hearing the opinions of others on this thread. If your comment is directed at me, then fine--I'll take that into account. But I ask that you not put a muzzle others on this thread, whom I would be interested in hearing from, opinion or otherwise. You obviously have at least some background in networking, and I for one would not object to reading and understanding your opinions. My best to you. bucky89
