What is worrisome to me is that the company has always maintained there are no "systemic" problems, yet the sheer number of failures and anomalies would seem to indicate otherwise.

Oh really? Name me any other company that has launched this many sats with a better total failure rate! Look at Hughes and Loral GEOS. Hughes can't seem to keep sats working and loral has had a fair number of failures... but thats the satellite business.

Maybe globalstar will launch the rest of theirs successfully, and I certainly hope they do, but as it stands now the score is:
Iridium: 7 down
Globalstar: 12 down

and those 12 are a much higher percentage of the total G* population, while Iridium is operational and G* is slipping slipping slipping.

If I sound bitter its because my G* stock is way down from where I bought it (and my loral options too!)
