BM, a gambler often bets everything and sooner or later loses it all, no matter how big his earlier wins. The house only gambles a small fraction of its worth on any one game and eventually wins, even after a series of loses. I am an investor, not a gambler. Yes any single position is a gamble, but a diversified portfolio including bonds and cash changes it to an investment.
