Patient penni, you have the nerve to say: "My posts embarrass ME a lot too-because they're so simple," and have any idea that anyone can take that as a valid statement? Simplicity, the essence of truth. The goals of the Westbrook family, simple, unaffected, genuine, almost organic. I do not write as a historian. To you, I write only hoping that I can remain on the balance bar. (And your straightforwardness makes that most difficult - as I play, senselessly, a bit too much.) Goals give me a bit of a problem. A bothering element for me is that, up till not too long ago, I believed human life had a sanctity, a proprietary specialness to the ones possessing it. But I am beginning to feel that it, human life, is less personal, and more social, or societal. I believe this subject is not good for us. I would hate to alienate you. And I feel, if I keep on this same path, that I might do just that. My 'feelings' are mine. I do not mean to have them intrude on others. geo ps: I am taking myself off SI for several days now - so I do not get into waters that are over my head, or that could cause me to drown. g.
