By the way, I had created a composite index of the new Internet Index basket of 20 stocks. On October 8, it was 306. Friday's close was 908 and theoretical high was 944. I used January 2nd, 1997 as the start date for the index with the basis of 100. It had dropped about 50% from 615 in June to 306 in August 31 and October 8 before the latest run. The laggard Nasdaq 15 Most Actives Index (OTX) is now up about 65% since the October low. The makeup of the index can be found on phlx.com .
