Doc, I took my fair share earlier this year when I lost money after SDTI crashed. I had no control in that since it happened quickly but I took control of my destiny and cut loss in mid 20s a couple of days later.

It is so constructive when you take a loss, especially if you can keep it to minimum.

One good way to get rid of a short-term bias(at least for me) is to take a position in a stock in the direction of your bias and get out with small loss when it goes against you.

I did that with IBM and SUNW this past week and got out with 25c loss pre trade. A small price to pay to wise up and "get it out of your system".

Side note: Haven't been able to send PM all day. Keep getting "document contains no data". Something wrong with SI again.
