I do not disagree with you. The peasants always have it rough. As for the Europeans oppressing those further away lol- are you forgetting the French Revolution? And lots of oppression in Europe along religious lines- as well as a general oppression of peasantry if you are going to look back 3000 years. And I do think it is pretty simple that the Chinese threw out much of the good when they destroyed their society to start over again. I understand why they did it but you need to realize that Mao was as brutal as any Chinese warlord and probably caused many many more deaths.
