It appears that high P/E's are becoming more and more acceptable. This is what is going drive Dell's stock price higher.
In addition, the failure of Compaq's direct model is going to help.
Here's a prediction, Compaq will preannounce disappointing earnings or be short of expectations by a couple of cents. Dell will start to move up in a big way once this happens (This may seem like strange logic - but I am betting on it).

I think it would be more foolish to think that over the next four months Dell's earnings will double (a sustained double, not a seasonal anomaly).
