The closest guide we have to evaluate this is the Great Year 2000 Stock Panic of 1996-97. All sorts of stocks were bid up to the high heavens, and they ran for about 24 months up and down. Internet is different, and may have more steam. I think the insanity continues for another 6 weeks--i.e., until Christmas sales results come in. Those that do poorly are doomed; good performers will again head skywards, but this is when we will see the first cut.
