It just seems to me that the K6-3 layout and k6-2=CXT layout could be designed to be nearly identical -- maybe that's what AMD did.

The addition of write buffers, cache control logic, etc. would require major changes in the floor plan. My guess is CXT = K6-3.

I have been known to be wrong once in a while though....
