I do not think anyone should be enraged by your legitimate questions.

The answer to what is driving these people is, of course, money and market share, as well as momentum shifting the convenience of shopping to the internet.

Most of the rest is speculation in that basically most internet businesses have not proven as of yet to be profitable. The reason many of them are going up so quickly is speculation , You should treat this as a very speculative investment. It may boom like Yahoo or it may crash. That will depend on many, many things including marketing, competition, willingness of people to pay a fee and to take the time to see what the benefits of joining are, ease of website use and customer satisfaction.

I have not yet ordered anything from them but will. It might be interesting to hear if others could share their experiences with the website AND, of course, the impressions of their commercials/infomercials. As of now, this investment should be closely watched pot, IMO.

Best of luck,
Howard

I confess. I bought a texas onion maker from NM. You know, it cuts onions into flowers for deep frying. It was on a cooking infomercial. Stayed up too late one night...

David,
I was watching a show the other day (on CNBC I believe) They had a spot on all the internet players and the host asked some of these same questions. i.e. "Does the fact that these companies aren't yet making money concern you?" His answer was very interesting. He said that the period we are in right now is all about grabbing market share and obtaining customer loyalty. He said when the time comes the cream will rise to the top and those players who offer the best service/price will be the big winners. From what I have seen so far, comparing prices, NM looks pretty good.
