zebra, it is clear that the brokerage houses are worried about investors getting overextended with margin on the Internet stocks and leaving the brokerage houses holding the bag on a dip. Also they are avoiding the problem on the short side by limiting our ability to enter new short positions. For the most part this tactic has saved us money, I would be better off today if yhoo had been NS. But it will likely prevent us from being able to profit from the eventual crash in the Internet stocks.
