<<<>>I went to the gift section recently with all the plans of buying a lot of presents there, and was
distressed at what I discovered. Am I off the norm and are others happy about how that section is
working?<<

I too became a stockholder (long) after I became a customer. I also think the gifts section is more
hype than substance, having been very disappointed when I tried to shop for my grandchildren.

>>but I realize that they need to start making some money sometime. Don't they?<<

I am also concerned about the what seems to me to be manipulation of the stock price through
news releases. Unless Amazon management concentrates as much energy on making a profit as it
does boosting the stock price it's more like a chain letter than investment, and those of us left at the
end will get stuck. Don't get me wrong, I am not about to give back the profits I have made, but I
am seriously considering getting off this particular roller coaster.
