Hi Doug.Chief my relative reference was to other internet companies relative to sales not profits as none(profits) exist.Here are a few other examples America Online (NYSE:AOL) is bigger than more than a third of the companies in the Dow 30. The market value of AOL is greater than the value of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (NYSE:), International Paper Co. (NYSE:IP ), J.P. Morgan & Co.(NYSE:JPM) and Union Carbide Corp.(NYSE:UK ) COMBINED. So what you are saying by your last post is that "all internet stocks are overpriced"!!! How observant! We all know that Doug, the media knows that, the brokerages know that, even the individual investor knows that!! However that has not stopped AOL from doubling in the last short while now has it? So from this response I understand that you feel all internet stocks are overvalued by "tangible asset calculation"!! Duh-h-h-h......don't you think we knew that Doug??? In which case, because the investor population has established rediculous P/E's and multiples....out of all of the rediculous P/E's which is the least overvalued ??????? I'll await your reponse....I'll give you a hint "the first word is bid, and the last word is com...there is a little symbolly thing in the centre!! Remember everyone was scoffing when Amazon was $40.00 saying it was overvalued! The fact is, if you remember "investing 101"....the market decides a stocks worth....noone else!!! The market has spoken....applying illogical comparison to Ford, Union Carbide etc. etc. is a waste of SI message space!! The market says AOL deserves a higher market cap than Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. (NYSE:), International Paper Co. (NYSE:IP ), J.P. Morgan & Co. (NYSE:JPM) and Union Carbide Corp.(NYSE:UK ) COMBINED...........you may not like it.....but live with it!!! Last point. You mention that "at least you use your real name"!! I find that amusing.......how the hell does anyone on the internet no if Doug Mcleod is your real name "just because you use it"? I could change my name from "the Chief" to Ferdinand Hockspeller and make the same rediculous claim!! There is a confusion that a "real sounding" name gives credibility to your messaging.....not true!!
