Because of the potentially grave consequences, we need to have some way to assess this problem. I believe the following events are signals that the Y2K crisis is evolving and becoming severe. Take these signs like you might take the signs of winter. Just because a tree has no leaves, or it is cold one day, does not mean that it is winter. But, if all of the trees have lost their leaves, the days are short, there is snow on the ground then we KNOW it is winter. So it is with these signs:
