Sounds familiar. There are all kinds of to good to be true schemes going on around us all the time unfortunately.

I was once offered a free trip for two to almost anywhere in the world I wanted to go by a local furniture company if I bought X amount of dollars worth of furniture from them. After close inspection and shopping around I found a much better price on the furniture I wanted. Also, after examining the documents for the trip, I found that I was required to pay for the hotel accommodations at certain designated 3rd rate hotels, only they were charging 1st rate prices. No "free" trip there.

With the rise of the internet, I can imagine that the schemers out there are going to try and take advantage of people in new and even more elaborate ways. The link below is an excellent place to help us all keep an eye out for fraud on the internet. Perhaps it would be a good location to bookmark.
