Class action suits are generally useless to the shareholders and a minor nuisance to the company (if anything at all). If the share price rises then the lawsuit looses its validity. No damage. Thus, if ZD challenges its recent highs of 19 then the lawsuit is dead in the water. And if the price doesn't rise? At the worst you will see a small, lump sum settlement that will be bitten into by the lawyers' contingency fee (perhaps as much as 40% of the award). The effect on share price? The accountants call it a "one-time charge" and it usually has no effect at all on the stock price. In other words, I wouldn't go short a stock simply because a class action suit is looming -- if you get my drift...
