"[Current prices] make wearable PCs impractical for many businesses purposes," said Kevin Baradet, network technology director with Cornell University.

I also took notice of that statement (from the Nov. 27 news clip associated with XYBR via Yahoo Finance), and, too, have been wondering all along who was going to pay $5,000 a pop for a piece of equipment to outfit workers. I can see the usefulness in areas where people are strung far afield such as those who might work in oil exploration. For other areas where companies have multiple employees, I would think the cost would be prohibitive.

However, I suspect that XYBR must have enough in the works, or perhaps even banked sort of speak to be able to make the statements about expecting a good 4th quarter (from a July press release?), and for the projections going through '99. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Atb,

Mike
