I've never used Terra Nova services but they were recommended to me a while ago.

I can tell you that Instinet (MM symbol:INCA) is best used for pre-market and after hours trading. With that system you can keep tabs on your stocks and know what they will open at or get out of a trade if bad news hits after 4:00. It is a separate bulletin board way of selling stocks. You are buying/selling as if you were a clearing house to the other individuals that want to buy/sell. It is separate from Nasdaq but the best bid and asks are posted on the Nasdaq for inclusion in the Nasdaq system.

It's worth looking into.
