I am sort of surprised that no one commented on the announcement by Neil S, on 11/26, regarding the series of FCA Vertical Market Seminars planned. (post 19567) Is this something that has happened before and I missed it? This is quite a collection of companies on a road trip. I am particularly impressed that it appears that Brocade and Ancor seem to be joining forces to demonstrate the future of FC. The whole thing seems like quite an even to me...especially considering the audience of high flying brokerage houses that are target of the first presentation.

More evidence of FC in mainstream publications. In the December 15th issue of PC Week, there is a dedicated section from the editors of the magazine on "The Data Harvest." They target many areas concerning the future of the SAN's...of particular interest to us, an article within the section..."Fibre Channel Wins Out," making reference to the superiority of FC over SCCI. They did point out that it isn't all smooth sailing...noting management software has a long ways to go along with plug-and-play compatibility. No doubt, there are some hurdles to overcome...but clearly the time and opportunities are here. The only companies mentioned regarding FC, were Dataquest and EMC Corp.
