Damn, JF, you have that fear right. When I was 18 a bunch of us camped out in the swamps for 10 days and could hear the coyotes killing the deer. I went to town and bought a gun. When I had the hunting club we could hear the same thing every night. The chase, the kill and the fighting over the meat. Funny, I would walk in the bottoms unarmed at night and feel safe but if I was over there working during the day I always carried a gun. Thought if I was ever injured and trapped a bullet would be better than being eaten alive.
