Yeah, well, we got hit by lightning. Blew the phone jack out of the wall and melted the phone line into two charred pieces. Fried the modem. Then I put a new one in, (with no problem) then that broke, and so I upgraded to Deluxe Spiffy Modem. But I failed to install Deluxe Spiffy Modem precisely correctly. Then I tried to fix it. Then things went...bad. Then I went to CompUSA. The guy was pretty nice about it, he didn't call me a bonehead or anything.

I want cable. Cable is real cool. Cable is like twice as fast as a T1 line. The people across the street have cable, why can't I?
