Sam,

So now your pulling scriptures in order to back up your agenda? Be careful because the Word of God is a two edged sword. Don't raise it up to fast if you value your own head.

Chris

I am gonna respond this time to Sam lest anyone actually thinks this is truth. God does not need me to "protect" Him, maybe I need this for exercise.

And as how you just posted it from another site for your convenience, you would think you would at least have the courtesy to tell WHO wrote it.And where you got it.

I will start right at the top.

Christiandom has been and is looking for the anti-Christ to come

LIE. Many anti-Christs have already come. (1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
)

Boy your first sentence bit it hard didn't it Sammy boy. Let's go on.

But... they can't and won't see him... because the mystery is,
"they are the spirit of the anti-Christ!" They are the Son of perdition, the beast. This is the mystery of God... and it is fulfilled
and finished. Concerning preaching as it is done today, Paul said it was foolishness (lst. Corinthians 1:21),

Another LIE.

Let's assume you are saying "they" are Christians.

Why you ask? (1 Cor. 12:3) Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

AND also this:(Mark 3: 24) If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.

So see? Christians would be divided and fall if they chose NOT to acknowledge Him. Sam has done just that. He has fallen for satan's lie that he will be a god.

YOU, Sammy ol boy are the mystery...BUT let's go on to the 1st scripture you chose to use, ok? Still with me ? You used 1 Cor. 1:21 and chose to quote it totally out of context. You said Paul said it was FOOLISHNESS...... FOOLISHNESS to whom ole son? LOOOOOOK!!!!!!! FOOLISHNESS to those who ARE perishing......WHY ?? Because the world did not know him.....know WHO??? JESUS CHRIST CRUCIFIED!!!!! READ IT READ IT!! It is there right in verses and context of the same scriptures that the writer of the stuff you posted tried to lie with.!!!!

1 Cor 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
22 Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Looks better IN context does it not?

But let's continue with your Bible usage and study ol Sam....

Notice, in the same verse he said it was because the world knew not God or His wisdom. That is why
Paul said in Hebrews 6:1-6, to leave these principles of the doctrine and go on unto perfection, not laying again the
foundation of repentance from dead works, and faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment, but to go on - or evolve into perfection.

AS the Word has already shown Sam's error, the world knew not God because they chose to ignore His Son and Sacrifice. Now on to Hebrews 6:1-6. Because this is a letter, you must use the CONTEXT Sam , so in order to understand what the writer of Hebrews is saying in chapter six you have to back up. Probably farther than Chapter 5 but for this issue chap. 5 is enough.

Hebrews 5: 7 During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.
8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered
9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn.
12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!
13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Now that we have the premise of why the writer is telling the readers what they should be by now, lets continue.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3 And God permitting, we will do so.
4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age,
6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
7 Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.
8 But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

See that word maturity? That is what ole Sam calls "perfection" That is what the goal that Paul constantly reached for and all Christians should reach for that. NOT TO BE GOD. But notice old Sam that there are both blessings and cursings here . Do you see them?

Since I have not made it out of the FIRST chapter of Sams post I will post this and continue later. Please know that I am not a "teacher" in the true sense of the word, so if I can see these glaring mistakes, what could a true student of the Word do to this garbage.

Why did Paul say this?

WHy did Paul say what? You mean his Cor. letter was read by all of the same folks that the Hebrew letter was written to, if indeed he was the writer of Hebrews?? So then all the letters Paul can just say " Well look at my letter to someone else and then add this to it and take from that letter and go to this one over here and and and.................. SOUNDS a little confusing.

Hebrews 8: 8-13. was the next scripture you(or whomever wrote all this) printed. Here is the whole chapter.

8:1 The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
2 and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.
3 Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.
4 If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already men who offer the gifts prescribed by the law.
5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."
6 But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises.
7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.
8 But God found fault with the people and said : "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord.
10 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
11 No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
13 By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

Even in this chapter the writer says that JESUS is the better promise. But I like what the Matthew Henry Commentary says better than I could say it so here it is:

The superior excellence of the priesthood of Christ, above that of Aaron, is shown from that covenant of grace, of which Christ was Mediator. The law not only made all subject to it, liable to be condemned for the guilt of sin, but also was unable to remove that guilt, and clear the conscience from the sense and terror of it. Whereas, by the blood of Christ, a full remission of sins was provided, so that God would remember them no more. God once wrote his laws to his people, now he will write his laws in them; he will give them understanding to know and to believe his laws; he will give them memories to retain them; he will give them hearts to love them, courage to profess them, and power to put them in practice. This is the foundation of the covenant; and when this is laid, duty will be done wisely, sincerely, readily, easily, resolutely, constantly, and with comfort. A plentiful outpouring of the Spirit of God will make the ministration of the gospel so effectual, that there shall be a mighty increase and spreading of Christian knowledge in persons of all sorts. Oh that this promise might be fulfilled in our days, that the hand of God may be with his ministers so that great numbers may believe, and be turned to the Lord! The pardon of sin will always be found to accompany the true knowledge of God. Notice the freeness of this pardon; its fulness; its fixedness. This pardoning mercy is connected with all other spiritual mercies: unpardoned sin hinders mercy, and pulls down judgments; but the pardon of sin prevents judgment, and opens a wide door to all spiritual blessings. Let us search whether we are taught by the Holy Spirit to know Christ, so as uprightly to love, fear, trust, and obey him. All worldly vanities, outward privileges, or mere notions of religion, will soon vanish away, and leave those who trust in them miserable for ever.

Oh, by the way it is notable to note that these letters were written to whom???????? TO CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!! Paul knew the "world" would not understand or care too.
more of Sam's postings:

This is why they are
drunk and mad, this is why they are confused in their own counsels, and it has now come to pass just as He said it would, they
are eating the flesh (doctrine) of their sons and daughters, just as a dog that returneth to his vomit. This is a phenomenal mystery
they cannot grasp. They are all blind guides. Not only does their preaching draw the hypocrite, but, the true seeker also. The
hypocrite goes on in the way he wants to, caring less if he hears the truth or not, the true seeker is immediately engulfed and
diverted from the truth, or, a sheep slain by their Sword

Is that ever a mixed up bunch of gobbledy gook I have ever seen. Look at the following:

4 He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry.and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that survived All over the world this the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home--these he has kept in darkness,
amen.,

SEE? FIVE scriptures all good words but taken out of context does not make much sense. Which is somes plan. If they can get you or me to believe that the Word does not make sense then they have you with them. Which is lost.

It is man who fell short not God.

Thinking about the rest of this ... Sam's post i think this is enough. Well you can look at God's Word even with out commentary and see what he is trying to do with it, so I will close here.
