BII has disseminated a substantial amount of good news over the last 4 weeks about
their technology platform. They took top honors at the Canadian Information
Productivity Awards (CIPA) for:
-1998 Award of Excellence
-1998 Best of Category Award for Small Business
-1998 Best of Show Award.

6 ways BII generates revenue:
-Business to consumer
-Business to business
-Agents selling commission
-Data base marketing
-Sale of advertising
-Licensing the technology

Bid.Com uses primarily two auction formats to sell a broad array of consumer goods in
many product categories
including computers and software, consumer electronics, toys and games, sporting
goods, entertainment,
memorabilia, jewelry and rare books.

The company sells products from strong brand name manufacturers: AST,Canon,
Compaq, Creative Labs, Dell, Epson, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, IBM, JVC,
Koss, Magnavox, Motorola, Nikon, Nintendo, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, Seagate,
Sega, Seiko, Sharp,Sony, Toshiba, US Robotics, Western Digital and Zenith have been
committed for feature or have been featured in the Bid.Com Online AuctionÔ.

Bid.Com has an exclusive contract to host the RADD International Web site (Recording
Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) until the year 2001. This
organization, chaired by David Niven Jr., boasts over 300 tier one rock artists including
Paul McCartney, Elton John, Rod Stewart, KISS and Melissa Etheridge to name but a
few. Bid.Com intends to establish a strong position in the entertainment sector by
operating this Web site and the "Rock Auction" of artist memorabilia, concert tickets
and other related products on behalf of RADD.

As a testimony to the appealing nature of the initial Web site, in January of 1997,
Bid.Com was selected by PC Week Magazine as # 7 on its list of the top 10
E-commerce sites on the World Wide Web. Other "Top Ten" companies included
Microsoft, Cisco and Amazon.

Bid.com is now number 8 out of over 50 Auction sites at 100HOT.com

The Canadian media have been very receptive to Bid.com. Some recent
headlines:

* Latest Internet craze cultivates interest in on-line auctioneer
* Post says heavy trading continues
* Post's Critchley says Nasdaq listing way paved
* Post says Yorkton analyst beating the drum
* Post says flurry of trading activity continues
* Globe trumpets Bid.Com as Canada's most popular stock
Note: Reuters mentioned BII 3 times yesterday (Nov.26th)

Whats next?

We know that Godin is closing a deal with a major cable content builder in the US, that
is going to use BID.com's auction format, for a number of their clients. He was in New
York to do this. Cablevision is in NY and owns and operates cable television systems,
has ownership interests in and
companies that produce and distribute national and regional entertainment and sports
programming services. It looks more and more like Cablevision tome.

Thinking out loud...

1) BII is fast approaching Godin's goal of 80,000 to 100,000 visits a day by year end.
2) 5 % of visits turn into a sale.
3) 67% of sales repeat.

How will this be enhanced by AOL's merger?

1) AOL has 14 million members as of now.
2) ICQ has attracted more than 21 million sign-ups.
3) Netscape's market share for its Navigator Internet browser is 52.2 %.

AOL's auction page places Bid.com in the top left hand corner. I think
Godin's goal will be surpassed very soon.

>>Waldo, I am not doubting, but how do we know this is taking place?<<

Paul Godin told CBC's Newsworld in an interview last Saturday....they tracked him down in New York. The stock closed the day before at 2.31. I did some research on New York Cable companies. The only one I could find was Cablevision.

<<Bid.com is in the process of a licenscing deal with a major US cable
company.>>

AL, we know that this is happening because the CEO (or was it the President? I don't want to give incorrect info.) of Bid.com was on CNBC last weekend for an interview and he stated that the reason he was in New York was to close a deal with a Cable company...

... that is why we all believe there will be a deal announced with a New York Cable company (Cablevision?)
