>>could anyone recommend a 19” monitor?

Clark, welcome to the thread, but I am the wrong
guy to ask about monitors just now. Others here
are much more up to date, though, so I expect you
will get good responses.

Read back a bit too. This has been under much discussion.
Have you checked out ZP's index on the clubhouse
associative thread? These are resource for you which
keep folks from posting the same answers many times.

I appreciate if anyone could share experiences of a good 19” monitor with crisp text.

I suggest you look at a Viewsonic PS790. Features:
Short depth monitor with superclear screen.
19" (18" viewable).
0.25mm dot pitch.
1600 x 1200 @76Hz maximum resolution.

Computability at computability.com advertises a price of $599 for this monitor and says price reflects a $125 instant rebate good through 12/30/98. The lowest price I found at price watch, pricewatch.com for this monitor was $500.

I have never used this monitor. But I do recommend it based on:
Viewsonic's reputation and it is in Viewsonic's professional series of monitors.

I have used a Viewsonic 17" P775 monitor and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
