If you run a PII-450 with a bios that doesn't recognize the PII, it won't run very fast either. Won't run at all.

If you disable the PII's L2 in a standard PII bios, then the PII won't run very fast either.

OBVIOUSLY YOU NEED TO RUN A CHIP WITH APPROPRIATE BIOS/BIOS SETTINGS TO SEE HOW WELL IT PERFORMS.
