Criticizing Microsoft is very OK; siding with <unmentionable> is unacceptable. Besides, you've only admitted to agreeing with him on one minor point out of the 833 negative spins he has launched (and re-launched and re-launched...) on this thread.

Your comments on the AOL/NSCP merger are well made. As a former Netscape owner, I, too, believe that Microsoft seriously damaged them. They probably could have survived, but their glory days were definitely over. I'm just not sure Microsoft's methods were illegal. No one has ever accused Microsoft of stupidity; I'm sure they have a world class stable of lawyers responsible for reviewing and signing off on every contract. Perhaps they were pushing the envelope, but tech companies do that every day in their core businesses.

I agree with you on your other points as well; being broken up would not hurt the investors long term, and msft is still a great investment.
