Freddie:

Can't recommend a great newsletter, because I haven't found one yet. Interested in Forbes' Special Situation Report, but costs a lot at $350/year. My recommendation: get a subscription to one or more of the following:

Forbes
Fortune
Kiplinger's Personal Finance
Business Week
Wall Street Journal
Worth or SmartMoney

Yes, it's a lot of reading, but just scan half of them when you're in on the john. Bottom line is that these - especially the first two - have made me buckets of money by uncovering promising emerging companies or visionary plans well-established firms have in place. True, everyone reads these, so you're not privy to any "secrets", but these together have provided me a general, non-technical base with which to pick stocks (or at least get started and do more intensive homework later). A lot cheaper than most newsletters, and about half are dailies or weeklies.

Good investing, Pete
