Something interesting; Datek is widely believed to have the largest "shortable stock list" available anywhere. Datek just recently upgrade their stock designations, and now has WinStar listed as "- Security is marginable but cannot be sold short." On one of my pages of CLEC's and telecom service related stocks, WinStar is the only one so designated. Must be that every borrowable share in existance has already been borrowed and shorted. If Datek can't short them, there is probably nobody that can.
